Equipment & Services
If you have a disabled child, they may need specialist equipment to support them to live as independently as possible. An Occupational Therapist (OT) can help assess and advise you on the equipment that your child needs. If your child does not already see an Occupational Therapist, or if you are not sure how they may be able to help, contact The Children and Families Helpdesk on 01452 426565. The Children and Families Helpdesk will be able to give you some information, and can also make a referral to an OT for you if appropriate.
If you are looking for equipment that is not available from an OT or other source, there are some organisations that can provide equipment for disabled children, either to buy, loan or hire. Contact The Key for further details.
