Equipment

There are many organisations that can provide equipment for children with physical and learning disabilities. The Key Co-ordinator or GUiDE can be contacted if you are looking to buy or loan a specific item that is not available through your Occupational Therapist or any other source. There may also be funding available to help pay for the item, so please ask The Key Co-ordinator who will be able to search for funding on your behalf.

Other Equipment Suppliers

The Key co-ordinator or any of the staff at GUiDE will help you if you are looking for a specific piece of equipment for yourself or your child. GUiDE holds a number of catalogues from various equipment suppliers and manufacturers as well as organisations such as The RNIB and Spacekraft who supply toys and leisure equipment.

Some companies sell mass produced equipment and others 'Taylor-make' equipment to suit people's specific needs. The Key co-ordinator can give you the phone numbers of any of the companies she knows about so that you may receive your own copy of their catalogue, or she will search for a company who can supply the item that you are looking for.
