Featuring a flagship performance by The British Paraorchestra, the world’s first professional ensemble of disabled musicians led by internationally renowned conductor Charles Hazlewood. The British Paraorchestra will combine with Southbank Sinfonia to perform their interpretation of Corelli’s La Folia, alongside the world premiere of Lloyd Coleman’s Towards Harmony, which is a special commission by Disability Arts Online.
Also appearing is the Inner Vision Orchestra, the UK’s only visually impaired ensemble. Led by Indian Maestro Baluji Shrivastav, who has performed with Stevie Wonder, Massive Attack and many others, the orchestra blend a variety of musical styles including Middle Eastern Songs, Gospel, Blues, Indian ragas and classical music.
The festival will also feature a mixture of seminars, workshops, and more, celebrating disabled arts and artists.
